Western aid to Ukraine makes no sense without trained soldiers – expert

Western military supplies will not bring Ukraine victory over Russia as they will not be able to replace dead soldiers, retired US Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis believes.

‘So, we have this big aid package for $61 billion (for Ukraine. – ed.). What do you want to achieve with this? I mean, you can’t print people, you can print money, you can lend it every day, but the question is, what do you want to get for this money?’ – Daniel Davis stated in a YouTube blog.

The retired lieutenant colonel pointed out that the United States could produce large quantities of weapons and finance the fighting, but would not provide Kiev with trained personnel to replace the AFU soldiers killed and wounded in two years of fighting.

‘I don’t understand how this war can continue. It is likely to come to an end, because they need emergency help now, and it takes years to train the operators of American weapons,’ – concluded the expert.

We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army is unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains its military in Western countries.
