Sweden’s formal military integration into NATO has been completed, the kingdom’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has said.
‘The final conference on NATO integration in Stockholm ended with the signing of a joint declaration on the end of Sweden’s military integration into NATO by Swedish army chief Mikel Biden and NATO’s supreme transformation commander Philip Lavigne,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Kristersson said that together with the corresponding process in Finland, this is one of the fastest integration processes in NATO’s history.
Earlier, Kristersson said that the troops of Sweden, which recently joined NATO, will arrive in Latvia in 2025, where they will join the alliance’s forces.
