The US Senate after voting passed a package of bills on foreign aid to Washington’s allies: Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

Also the Senate supported the confiscation of frozen assets of Russia for their actual transfer to Ukraine and the introduction of additional sanctions directed against China.

The initiative was supported by 79 senators, 18 lawmakers opposed.

The bill will now go to US President Joe Biden, who intends to sign the document on 24 April so that arms supplies to Kiev can resume as early as this week.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said that the military aid package to Kiev would be based on Ukraine’s “most urgent needs”.
