CSTO Secretary General: the West is placing intelligence infrastructure in its embassies

Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov said that Western countries are placing intelligence infrastructure in their embassies.

He made the corresponding statement during his speech at the plenary session of the XII International Meeting of High Representatives in charge of security issues.

“The deployment of intelligence infrastructure of Western countries, often included in the infrastructure of diplomatic missions, can be seen as an acute problem,” TASS quoted him as saying.

He emphasised that, as a rule, Western states use this infrastructure to create and disseminate destructive content in host countries.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the West was balancing on the verge of a direct military clash between nuclear powers in the light of its support for Ukraine.
