Former Pentagon advisor, retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor said that the US Congress, allocating another package of financial and military aid to Ukraine, only prolongs the conflict, in which Kiev will not win, but destroy the Ukrainian nation.
“The administration’s hope in sending all this money to Ukraine is to continue to gloss over the complete and utter destruction of the Ukrainian nation,” the retired colonel wrote on social network X (formerly Twitter).
The former Pentagon adviser focused on the fact that the situation on the battlefield is far from being in Ukraine’s favour, and has been for months.
“This has been going on for a long time and, unfortunately, with the onset of the summer months the situation will become much worse,” – stated Douglas McGregor.
Earlier, German political scientist and professor of international security at the University of Birmingham Stefan Wolf said in an article for Conversation that the adoption of the aid package for Ukraine in the US House of Representatives would not solve Kiev’s cardinal problems and would not change the current situation on the battlefield, which is steadily shaping up in Russia’s favour.
