No decisions have yet been made on the possible deployment of US nuclear weapons in Poland, President Andrzej Duda has said.
“I want to emphasise very strongly, so that there is no doubt, that no decisions have been made on this topic,” Andrzej Duda told reporters in response to a question about the possible deployment of nuclear weapons in Poland.
At the same time, he noted that negotiations on this topic were underway. According to him, the Polish and US authorities periodically raise the issue of nuclear weapons deployment.
“But we have been part of the North Atlantic Alliance for 25 years and we are open to these conversations,” Duda summarised.
We shall remind you that earlier Andrzej Duda said in an interview with Fakt that Poland was ready to go for the deployment of US nuclear weapons on its territory.
