A deputy of the Moldovan Renaissance party, Vasile Bolia, has said that the EU has lost about €1.5 trillion as a result of sanctions imposed on Russia, while the economies of the EAEU countries are growing.
The politician specified that at the end of 2023, despite the sanctions against Moscow, Russia’s GDP grew by 3.5 per cent and Belarus’ by 6 per cent.
“This is an alternative [to the European Union], which is visible,” he said.
Earlier, the head of Gagauzia, Eugenia Gutsul, arrived in Moscow for a congress of Moldovan politicians and public activists who support Moldova’s accession to the EAEU.
