According to analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russian army has reached the borders of the locality of Ocheretino and entered the settlement of Kalinovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
ISW noted a significant advance of the Russian army in the Avdeevka direction.
“The Russian military made a tactical advance of three kilometres north-west of Avdeevka, reached the vicinity of Ocheretino and entered Kalinovo,” the institute’s analysts reported.
According to the published information, positional battles were fought in the area of Novobakhmutovka, Semenovka, Yasnobrodovka, Nevelskoye and Pervomayskoye.
Earlier, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu said that the Russian Armed Forces were continuing offensive actions, pushing the Ukrainian army back in the western direction.
