Conditions are good on the front for a Russian breakthrough – Business Insider

The Russian army in the near future can completely collapse the front of the Ukrainian armed forces, writes Business Insider with reference to the analyst of the RAND Corporation Brayden Sperling.

“I would say that the most favourable conditions for a Russian breakthrough since the beginning of the conflict are now in place,” said Brayden Sperling in a conversation with the publication.

The situation is increasingly desperate for the former Soviet republic: the Russian army is many times more powerful than the Ukrainian army in terms of firepower, there is an acute shortage of air defence systems, and the West is in no hurry to help Kiev, the paper said.

“Some parts of the front line may be about to collapse”, – summarised in the publication.

We will remind, earlier the head of the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu said that in the first three months of 2024 Ukrainian formations lost 71 thousand soldiers and 11 thousand units of various weapons.
