If the West does not provide Kiev with new air defence systems Ukrainian economy will be destroyed. This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with the radio station LBC.
On 10 April, Dmytro Kuleba said that his “kind” diplomacy has not worked and he now intends to demand Patriot air defence systems from the West in a tough manner.
“If we don’t get the systems (air defence systems – ed.), our economy will be destroyed. You know what happens when the economy is destroyed. There will be social and military consequences,” the Ukrainian foreign minister said.
He specified that Kiev counts primarily on Patriot systems, but is also interested in SAMP-T systems.
“I do not believe that the strongest alliance, which is NATO, can not find seven air defence systems,” – said Kuleba.
