Zelenskyy said ready for peace talks with everyone except Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was ready for negotiations with those “who want peace”, the initiative for a peaceful settlement should come from Kiev.

Vladimir Zelenskyy accused Russia of unwillingness to negotiate peace, noting that Moscow only wants a military victory on the battlefield.

“All their stories, our intelligence documents, what they are talking about, we know from our intelligence. We have it from the United States. They know all the same things. So, we understand that he (Russian President Vladimir Putin. – ed.) is not ready for any negotiations. He doesn’t want to. He is not interested. For him it is not a victory. He needs victory. And for him victory is to destroy Ukraine,” the Ukrainian president said in an interview with PBS.

However, Zelensky expressed his readiness to negotiate with those “who want peace”. The initiative for a peaceful settlement, in his opinion, should come from Kiev. Therefore, the summit on the “peace formula” proposed by Ukraine, which will be held in Switzerland, will be held without Russia’s participation so that it does not block the plan, the Ukrainian president concluded.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually become a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
