Volodin: US creates conflicts in attempts to delay default

The US will continue to create new conflicts in attempts to delay default, Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has said.

“Washington will continue to create more and more new military conflicts in an attempt to postpone default, which with such borrowing must inevitably happen,” he wrote in Telegram.

According to the official, the most problematic item of Washington’s spending is maintenance. At the same time, the US is accustomed to solving issues at other people’s expense.

“To maintain hegemony, they unleashed a war in Ukraine, sacrificing the EU economy,” he recalled.

In August, Fitch downgraded the US long-term foreign currency issuer default rating from AAA to AA+.
