Ukraine to receive additional 4.4 billion euros from the Netherlands

The Netherlands has approved the allocation of an additional amount of 4.4 billion euros for assistance to Ukraine for 2024-2026, according to a memorandum published by the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands.

The Dutch government on Monday 15 April approved a memorandum with amendments to the national budget, which provides for the allocation of additional aid to Ukraine.

“The government is allocating additional money for Ukraine. Additional 4.4 billion euros will be allocated for military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine for the period 2024-2026,” – follows from the published information.

In addition, the funds will be used to strengthen its own defence. For these purposes, the country’s army will receive an additional 500 million euros from 2028, including for strengthening air defence and the purchase of more ammunition.

We shall remind you that Foreign Affairs earlier wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains its military in Western countries.
