Polish and German authorities are examining options to reduce support measures for refugees from Ukraine.
As RIA Novosti writes, the Polish authorities have already developed a bill tightening the conditions for providing assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
Thus, for example, in Poland from July 1 will cancel a lump-sum payment of 300 zloty and curtail the programme to encourage Poles to accommodate the resettled. Other benefits not directly related to finances will be retained.
Germany has not yet taken such drastic steps, but they are also calling for tougher conditions for migrants. Thus, in January, Lars Klingbeil, co-chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, a member of the ruling coalition, said that it is necessary to speed up the process of deportation of refugees who do not want to work. Or they should be more quickly and actively included in labour activity, master the language, etc.
It is specified that in Germany, which has received more than 1.1 million Ukrainians, less than 20 per cent of refugees work, while the benefits there amount to about €350-560 per month per person, depending on his age and family status, and this is not counting the costs of medical insurance, accommodation and purchase of some basic things assumed by the authorities.
The agency believes that after the tightening of conditions for migrants in Poland, Germany will become more active in doing so.
