White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator for the National Security Council John Kirby said on ABC television that the United States does not wish to engage in conflict with Iran.
He emphasised that the US side seeks to avoid a larger conflict in the Middle East.
“We do not seek a larger war in the region and are not looking for a conflict with Iran,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Earlier, former US Senator Richard Black told RT that the current Israeli authorities are doing everything to attract the United States to fight on their side.
