EU says plans to hand Ukraine funds for energy generation

The EU plans to transfer equipment for decentralised energy generation to Ukraine, Belgian Energy Ministry head Tinne Van der Straten has said.

“The EU will transfer equipment for decentralised energy generation to Ukraine. Minister Galushchenko will tell us about Ukraine’s needs,” TASS quoted her as saying.

Earlier, the head of Ukraine’s Energy Ministry German Galushchenko urged the country’s residents to stock up on generators.

However, before that, the minister claimed that Ukraine was not in danger of a “total blackout”.
