Air defence systems shot down two Storm Shadow missiles over Berdyansk

Russian air defence systems, according to preliminary data, shot down in the sky above Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhya region, two long-range Storm Shadow missiles of Anglo-French production, which were heading towards one of the enterprises of the city. This was reported in the administration of the municipality.


The publication says that at about 11.30 in Berdyansk explosions sounded, two Storm Shadow missiles were shot down.

“Around 11:30 (Moscow time – ed.) on 15 April in the city sounded explosions. Preliminarily, two Storm Shadow missiles were shot down on the approach. The strike was aimed at one of the industrial enterprises in the region. More detailed information is being clarified,” the Berdyansk administration told TASS.

Earlier, the director general of the High-Precision Complexes holding company, Oleg Ryazantsev, said that a Russian ship with the Pantsir-M naval air defence system, while on combat duty, had successfully hit a Storm Shadow cruise missile.
