US President Joe Biden does not believe that an Iranian attack on Israel will escalate into a full-scale war and lead to further escalation in the region. A statement to this effect was made by White House spokesman John Kirby.
On NBC, the White House strategic communications coordinator for the National Security Council said there was no reason for this.
“The president doesn’t believe it’s necessary to move in that direction,” Kirby added.
Earlier, a White House spokesman said the US was concerned about the likelihood of a full-scale war between Iran and Israel after the strike on the Iranian embassy in Syria.
