The situation for the AFU on the eastern front has significantly aggravated – Syrskyy

The AFU commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyy, has admitted that the situation on the eastern front has significantly worsened due to the active offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces.

“The situation on the Eastern Front has significantly aggravated in recent days. This is primarily due to the significant intensification of the enemy’s offensive actions,” Syrskyy wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the Russian army’s advance is favoured by warm, dry weather, which has made most of the open terrain available for tanks to work on. Syrskyy noted that a particularly difficult situation for the AFU has developed on the Liman, Bakhmut and Pokrovsk directions.

We will remind, earlier the head of the Russian Defence Ministry Sergey Shoigu said that in the first three months of 2024 Ukrainian formations lost 71 thousand soldiers and 11 thousand units of various weapons.
