The German authorities will soon send Ukraine another Patriot air defence system from their own stockpiles.
The DPA news agency quoted the German Defence Ministry as saying that Berlin hoped to “strengthen Ukraine in its defence campaign against Russia”.
Earlier, the Financial Times reported that a number of European countries had rejected Ukraine’s requests for Patriot air defence systems.
