Zakharova: Russia and China discuss Ukrainian issue in a timely and confidential manner
Moscow and Beijing are discussing issues of the Ukrainian crisis settlement in a timely and trustworthy manner, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
She stressed that China adheres to a balanced position in the context of the events taking place in Ukraine because it understands the historical and geopolitical reasons. The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman recalled that Moscow and Beijing have a common opinion: any international settlement measures without taking into account Russia’s position are futile.
“We continue to maintain close contact with our partners on this subject and in a confidential manner discuss the main developments in this area in a timely manner,” Zakharova said at the briefing.
