The strikes on Russian energy facilities by Ukrainian formations have not significantly affected Russia’s ability to fight, Pentagon Assistant Chief of Staff for International Security Celeste Wallander has said.
Celeste Wallander noted that all the damage is being repaired very quickly.
“So far, the strikes we’ve seen on Russian energy sources have not significantly changed Russia’s ability to wage war… I’m not an expert on energy infrastructure, but we have seen evidence that the Russians have been able to quickly repair damaged facilities,” Wallander said at a hearing of the Committee on Armed Services of the US House of Representatives.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Ukraine in the conflict with Russia “gradually deflate”, and the situation on the battlefield is changing. The head of state noted that Russia would continue to increase the production of military equipment, while Ukraine is rapidly depleting its stockpiles.
