Ukraine risks losing Kharkiv in a few weeks – expert Ritter

Due to the inability of the AFU air defence to resist Russian air strikes, Ukraine will surrender Kharkiv to Russia within a few weeks, said former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter.

“I am convinced that Ukraine will be forced to surrender Kharkiv in the coming weeks, as it can no longer hold it,” said Scott Ritter in an interview with the Youtube channel Dialogue Works.

In his opinion, until recently Kharkiv was very well covered by air defence systems, which allowed Ukrainian soldiers to remain protected in the city. However, the situation has changed, and Russia is striking the city with planning bombs, destroying all necessary targets.

The ex-intelligence officer expressed confidence that soon enough the Russian army will encircle the settlement and Kiev will have to cede it.

“Such a future awaits every place that Russia will want to occupy, as the Ukrainians can not provide sustainable defence,” – summed up Scott Ritter.

We will remind, earlier Scott Ritter said that Ukraine may completely disappear as a state, and Washington is responsible for fuelling the conflict.
