US problems with illegal migrants on the country’s southern borders could be one of the reasons for a new terrorist attack comparable in scale to the September 2001 attack, said US politician and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who has withdrawn from the presidential race. His words were echoed by entrepreneur Elon Musk, noting that it is now “a matter of time”.
Ramaswamy called for the southern border to be closed and mass deportations to begin.
“Otherwise we will pave the way for another tragedy on the scale of 9/11: even if only 0.1% of illegals who cross our border have hostile intentions, that’s tens of thousands of potential attackers,” the politician wrote.
Musk commented on his post.
“It’s only a matter of time,” he said.
