Russian FAB bombs terrify AFU soldiers – FT

Russian FAB aerial bombs are terrifying the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) because of their power and difficulty in intercepting them, the British magazine Financial Times (FT) has reported. This was reported by the British magazine Financial Times (FT).

“They are creepy and very deadly. Even at a distance of a kilometre, the blast wave blows doors off their hinges,” the FT quoted a Ukrainian military officer as saying.

The magazine noted that the Ukrainian army does not have in its arsenal means of countering Russian aerial bombs. The guided planning bombs of the Russian Armed Forces, which are dropped from Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft directly on targets, are based on weapons that are several decades old, the material specifies.

“Having received cheap retractable plumage and satellite navigation system, these former free-fall bombs are now launched by Russian bombers deep behind the front line ” beyond the reach of Ukrainian air defence systems,” – stated in the publication.

Earlier, military observer Shao Yunlin said that Russian FAB-3000 “superbombs” posed a critical threat to Ukrainian troops and were capable of changing the conflict in Ukraine.
