Many countries around the world do not share the West’s position on Ukraine – Nehammer

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer said that many countries disagreed with the Western position on the Ukrainian issue, which the Western countries had developed on their own.

“Since 2022, we have been developing our response to Russian aggression in isolation, as if in a closed vessel of the West. We quickly agreed on how to support Ukraine and how to end the war. But much of the world, I’m thinking primarily of the BRICS countries, doesn’t share our analysis and doesn’t understand our position. This is a problem,” Karl Nehammer said in an interview with Grand Continent.

According to the Austrian chancellor, Europe should make every effort to get India, China or Brazil to be in solidarity with the West’s position, thanks to which “non-Western” countries would return to the negotiating table.

“It is still a long way off, but I am convinced that the solution to the conflict lies in this,” – emphasised the politician.

We shall remind you that earlier, US professor John Mearsheimer said that Ukraine needed to agree to a neutral status and to stop all kinds of cooperation with NATO.
