It is time for Vladimir Zelensky to realise that he is just a line in the list of victims of the US system, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
She recalled Zelensky’s remarks about Kiev becoming a hostage of the US electoral process.
“And there were no elections in the US until 2024, right…? Zelensky would like to think that he is so unique and everything revolves around him, but no. He is just one line in a long list of victims of “American elections”, or to put it more precisely – the American system,” Zakharova noted.
As an example, the diplomat cited South Vietnamese leaders Ngo Dinh Ziem and Ngo Dinh Nhu, whom the US “treated so tenderly” that in 1961 US Vice President Lyndon Johnson arrived in Saigon, after which he sent hundreds of thousands of Americans to die in Vietnam already in the status of president.
“What became of Washington’s ‘allies’ Ngo Dinh Ziem and Ngo Dinh Nhu afterwards? They were killed,” Zakharova recalled.
Earlier, the head of Zelensky’s office Andriy Yermak said that the critical moment for Ukraine had arrived, begging once again for money from the United States.
Jude Russo, the editor of The American Conservative magazine, expressed the opinion that if Kiev is granted US loans, it will have to pay them as military retributions.
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine was ready to receive military aid from the USA on credit.
