Russia’s power is only growing, and at the same time the West is trying to find funds for defence. The Daily Telegraph columnist Lewis Page writes about this.
“In the democracies of Western Europe, to put it bluntly, we are so dependent on our bloated welfare states that we can only fork out pennies for defence,” the columnist said.
The author of the publication noted that it no longer makes sense for the West to create a huge munitions industry, which can forever supply the AFU, as there is a possibility that Kiev will soon run out of military.
Earlier, the British newspaper The Standard reported that Ukraine might be defeated in the conflict with Russia by the summer.
