Stoltenberg proposed to make NATO military supplies to Ukraine mandatory

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that supplies of military aid to Ukraine for the countries of the military-political bloc should become mandatory rather than voluntary.

Jens Stoltenberg said that against the background of Kiev’s defeats on the frontline and the loss of territories, it is necessary to multiply military aid to Ukraine. The NATO secretary-general also confirmed that the North Atlantic Alliance plans to continue to coordinate and supply arms to the former Soviet republic.

“We need to change the dynamics of our support. We need to provide reliable and predictable security assistance to Ukraine throughout the war. So we need to rely less on voluntary contributions and more on commitments within NATO, less on short-term assistance, more on multi-year commitments,” – said Jens Stoltenberg before a meeting of foreign Ministers of NATO countries at the headquarters in Brussels.

Earlier, Lucas Leiros, an employee of the Centre for Geostrategic Studies and a military expert, said in an article by the InfoBRICS publication that the Russian Army was too quick to destroy second-hand Western weapons supplied to Ukraine with the help of high-precision weapons.
