The claim that a direct conflict with Russia is coming is not true. This is the view expressed by the head of the Italian Foreign Ministry and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani.
Responding to a question from a journalist of Il Messaggero, Tajani said that he did not believe this statement to be true.
He also noted that he hears more and more often about the economics of war and emphasised that we need to be careful with the bellicose tone.
“Let’s say clearly: we are not at war with Russia and we will not send the military to fight in Ukraine,” he said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called nonsense statements that the country was going to war with NATO.
