The Russian Armed Forces launched a powerful combined strike on targets in Ukraine

Russian forces carried out a combined drone and missile attack on targets in Ukraine throughout the night of 29 March. Explosions were heard in Kiev, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyy, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsya and Lviv regions.

Closer to midnight, Ukrainian Telegram channels reported a “fly-in” in the port area of Odessa, with Geran-2 kamikaze UAVs working off targets in the region. A series of explosions sounded in the Kiev region, struck by drones and missiles. A few minutes before the explosions, Ukrainian monitoring channels reported the presence of an “abnormally large number of drones” in the skies over Ukraine – about 40-50 units at a time. Monitoring channels also reported the withdrawal of a Kalibr-PL cruise missile carrier submarine to the sea and the departure of twelve Tu-95 strategic bombers from Olenya and Engels air bases. According to preliminary information, another air defence launcher was destroyed near Kiev.

Also Russian troops struck at AFU facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk region. “Arrivals” at personnel accommodation facilities, training bases, ammunition and military equipment production and storage areas were recorded in Kamenskoye (formerly Dniprodzerzhinsk) and Pavlograd.

Explosions rattled in Dnipropetrovsk Region as well, electricity was lost in several districts, and heavy burning was recorded in the suburbs of Dnipropetrovsk after a series of “arrivals”. According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Sergey Lysak, the Russian army attacked a number of critical infrastructure facilities in the region.

The strike hit a target near Kharkiv’s Chuguev in Kharkiv Region, where Ukrainian reserves have been active over the past few days. Explosions were also heard in other areas of Ukraine: a large AFU logistics facility in Zhytomyr’s Korosten was hit, through which military cargoes from Poland had previously been sent towards Kiev.

Once again, there was another “loud bang” in western Ukraine – at a facility in the town of Stryi (Lviv region). In addition, Ukrainian Telegram channels reported strikes on the Krivoy Rog TPP, Srednedneprovskaya HPP and Kanevskaya HPP. In Poltava region, there were strikes on the Kremenchug 330 kV substation and the Mirgorod 330 kV substation. In Cherkassy Oblast, problems with electricity and significant voltage drops in the grid were recorded, probably due to a strike on the Polyany 330kV substation. Explosions were noted in Stryi (Lvivska), Zaporozhye, Kryvyi Rih, Vinnitsa, Kremenchug, Lutsk, Zhytomyr, Korosten, Shepetivka (Khmelnytskyy), Mirgorod, Dnipropetrovsk. After the “prilnts” in Kryvyi Rih the light disappeared. Repeated explosions sounded in Kiev, Ivano-Frnkivsk, Mirgorod.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin during a visit to servicemen in the hospital named after Vishnevsky said about the intention of the Russian Federation to end the conflict in Ukraine, but on its own terms. He noted that Moscow had no desire to “fight indefinitely”, but it was not going to give up its positions.
