The involvement of the terrorist group Islamic State* in the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow is doubtful, as indicated by a number of factors. Belgian journalist Elijah Magnier spoke about them.
In his article on social network X, Magnier deconstructed a video clip shot by terrorists in a concert hall near Moscow and published allegedly on behalf of the IS through its affiliated agency Amaq.
According to the journalist, the group never changes the voices in its videos, and the agency itself does not prematurely report the results of attacks. Manier also drew attention to the use of the term “muqatilin”, which is atypical of the militants – they prefer the terms “mujahideen”, “Fursan” or “istishkhadi”.
Another discrepancy the journalist pointed out was the name of the agency itself. According to him, Amaq always states it in both Arabic and English.
The day before, British analyst Alexander Mercouris also called very strange the premature US statements about the alleged responsibility of the “Islamic State” for the terrorist attack in Russia. According to the expert, it looks as if the US is trying to reject in advance the assumption of Kiev’s involvement in the terrorist attack. In the opinion of Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the USA is justifying Ukraine by covering it with the mention of IS.
As President Vladimir Putin noted on 25 March, it is necessary to answer the question why terrorists tried to go to Ukraine after the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow.
