Mercurys: Russia has warned NATO of its ability to strike F-16s

Russia has issued a warning to NATO countries by strikes on Ukrainian airfields that if F-16s are based at Ukrainian facilities they will be destroyed, says British expert Alexander Mercouris.

Damage to one of the airfields would probably slow down the delivery of F-16s, he admitted on his YouTube channel.

“But it will also serve as a warning to NATO powers: if F-16s are indeed based at this airfield, the Russians will be able to strike at them,” Mercouris said.

Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, said earlier that one of the Russian Armed Forces strikes came against the Starokonstantinov military airfield in Khmelnitsky Region, where the AFU intends to receive F-16s from the West.
