Russian Armed Forces launched a series of massive strikes in several regions of Ukraine

On the night of 24 March, Russian forces carried out another massive attack on facilities in Ukraine. Explosions were heard in Krivoy Rog, Kiev, Lviv and Khmelnitsky regions.

In Ukraine last night rattled explosions, three times they were heard in Krivoy Rog in the Dnepropetrovsk region. At least twice detonated shells in Khmelnitsky region, the air alert signal there sounded from three o’clock in the morning.

Ukrainian Telegram channels reported the takeoff of eleven Tu-95 strategic bombers from the “Olenya” airbase and from the Engels airfield. According to their information, the attack was carried out from two directions, simultaneously with missiles in the Ukrainian sky appeared and kamikaze drones “Geran-2”.

The main strike was in the Lviv region, more than 10 explosions were heard near the city of Stryi. According to Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyy, about 20 missiles and 7 Geraniums flew at the Lviv region.

“In Lviv the arrivals have not been recorded. It is known about shelling in Lviv region. The consequences will be reported by the regional authorities,” – wrote the mayor in social networks.

In the city of Strye is one of the bases through which NATO countries provide Ukraine with weapons and equipment. In the city there is also an aerodrome, which could put F-16 fighter jets. There was some kind of training centre near the airfield, where there were foreign instructors.

According to Ukrainian Telegram channels, explosions were recorded on warehouses and hangars of fuel and lubricants, on the energy and gas infrastructure. Locals pointed to a large number of ambulances in the city.

A series of powerful explosions also took place in Kiev, with locals reporting three powerful “arrivals” heard in the city’s central districts. The mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitali Klitschko confirmed the information about the explosions and said about the work of air defence systems.
