The death toll from the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall has risen to 93

The number of dead as a result of the terrorist attack in the Moscow Region concert hall “Crocus City Hall” is currently 93 people, the cause of their death was gunshot wounds and carbon monoxide poisoning. This was reported in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

“As of now, the death toll has been put at 93. The number of dead will still increase. According to preliminary data, the causes of death were gunshot wounds and poisoning by combustion products,” the IC said in a statement.

According to the agency, the investigative team continues to inspect the concert hall premises and collect physical evidence as emergency services clear the building rubble. CCTV footage is also being reviewed and work with the victims is underway.

According to preliminary results of the examination of the premises of the concert hall, the terrorists in the attack used automatic weapons, which were seized along with the ammunition they left behind. Ballistic, genetic and fingerprint examinations are being conducted on these samples.

According to the published information, the terrorists used a flammable liquid to set fire to the premises of the concert hall, where there were spectators, including the wounded.

Earlier, the head of the Russian State Duma committee on information policy, Alexander Khinshtein, said that police officers had detained two suspects in the terrorist attack in “Crocus” in the Bryansk region.
