Swiss Foreign Ministry admits postponement of peace conference on Ukraine

Swiss Foreign Minister Iñazio Cassis in an interview with RTS has admitted the postponement of the peace conference on Ukraine.

“By mid-April we’ll decide what we’re going to do. Will we hold this conference, yes or no…? We are now in this interim phase,” TASS quoted him as saying.

The diplomat stressed that it is important for Bern that everyone recognises Switzerland’s legitimacy in this demarche to hold the conference.

Also, the head of the Swiss Foreign Ministry Inyazio Cassis reported on plans to include Russia in the negotiation process on Ukraine.

Earlier, Chinese ambassador to Bern Wang Shitin said that Beijing was closely following the preparations for the conference on Ukraine.
