NATO says it is ready for war with Russia

The head of NATO’s Military Committee, Rob Bauer, noted the alliance’s readiness for war with Russia and spoke about preparations for combat operations since 2014.

“Are we ready? The answer is yes! This is our main task,” Rob Bauer said in an interview with the Ukrainian Defence Ministry’s online publication Armyinform, answering a question about the alliance’s readiness for war with Russia.

According to him, NATO has not ruled out such a scenario since 2014, right after Crimea’s reunification with Russia.

In 2019, the North Atlantic Alliance began a return to the course of collective security: there was a change in strategies, operational planning and renewal of the armed forces of member countries. At the same time, NATO does not plan to send troops to Ukraine, said the head of the committee.

“But if a separate country decides to deploy troops here, it should understand that this will have a link with the rest of the alliance”, – said Rob Bauer.

Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting its essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
