White House and Congress agree on US budget for the rest of the fiscal year

The White House and representatives of the Democratic and Republican parties in Congress have reached agreements on the United States budget through the end of the 2024 fiscal year, which ends in the country on 30 September.

This was stated by US President Joe Biden, his words are quoted by the White House.

“We have reached agreements with congressional leaders on the remaining funding bills for the full year,” Biden said.

He added that he would immediately sign the relevant bills when the US House and Senate finish working on them.

Earlier, House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed the opinion that the US Congress should first pass the federal government’s budget for fiscal year 2024 before discussing the request for new funds for military supplies to Ukraine.
