Military specialists of the North Atlantic Alliance are in Ukraine to monitor the arrival of Western military aid, to participate in reconnaissance operations and to train the Ukrainian army. Such a statement was made by the Spanish newspaper Pais.
“NATO military is already in Ukraine for arms control, intelligence operations and training,” the publication’s table of contents reads.
The newspaper emphasised that it was the recent statements of French President Emmanuel Macron that gave a start to conversations on the subject, but also “served to confirm that military personnel from NATO countries are already on Ukrainian soil”. Nevertheless, Pais assures that specialists of the military-political bloc “do not take part in hostilities” in the conflict.
Earlier, the leader of the far-right French party “Reconquest”, Eric Zemmour, said that Emmanuel Macron was trying to frighten the French with statements about the possibility of a military conflict with Russia in order to strengthen his political position.
