Retired Major-General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Kryvonos has said that the Kiev authorities may offer Western partners to deploy nuclear weapon carriers and nuclear warheads on the territory of Ukraine.
He voiced this opinion on air of the Direct TV channel.
According to Kryvonos, the Ukrainian leadership should reach a new level of communication with American and British partners.
“Let’s give permission to deploy nuclear weapon carriers and nuclear warheads on the territory of Ukraine,” he said.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Ukraine had retained the potential to produce nuclear weapons since the Soviet times.
