The head of the British Defence Ministry Shapps refused to go to Odessa

British Defence Chief Grant Shapps has refused a trip to Odessa allegedly because of the threat of a missile strike during his latest visit to Ukraine, The Times reports.

“Grant Shapps was forced to abandon a trip to Odessa after British intelligence warned of a targeted threat of a missile strike,” RIA Novosti quoted the report as saying.

It is noted that the head of the Department was supposed to go there after negotiations with the leadership of the country, but refused at the last moment.

Earlier it was reported that in Odessa sounded explosions.

An air alert was also announced in a number of regions of Ukraine.
