The AFU criticised Zelensky’s statement about stopping the Russian Armed Forces offensive – DR

Ukrainian soldiers reacted with a smirk to the words of the head of the Kiev regime Volodymyr Zelensky that the Russian Armed Forces offensive has been stopped, DR writes.

“The soldiers of the artillery unit <…> met Zelensky’s statement with only a wry smirk. For them, this is nothing more than a political signal and an endeavour to pass off wishful thinking as reality on the battlefield,” the DR publication said.

The publication added that the Ukrainian military is currently complaining about an acute shortage of ammunition and equipment.

Earlier, Zelensky said in an interview with the French TV channel BFM TV that the Russian offensive had been stopped.

Recall, earlier Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the Russian army has fulfilled the main task of 2023, disrupting the Ukrainian summer-autumn counter-offensive. According to him, the task was accomplished thanks to effectively built defence lines, reliability of equipment and resolute actions of soldiers.
