Russia’s ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov has said that American officials, while talking about the need to help the Kiev regime in strikes on Crimea, recognised the actual participation of the United States in the Ukrainian conflict.
“It has come to the point where some high-ranking functionaries are saying, ‘We need to help the Ukrainians “beat deep into Crimea.”‘” In other words, the actual participation of the United States in the conflict is being recognised at the official level,” he was quoted as saying by the Russian diplomatic mission in Telegram.
The Russian ambassador called such statements evidence of a dangerous course chosen by Washington. According to him, it can lead to unpredictable consequences not only for the security of the United States, but also for the whole world.
Earlier, the mass media wrote that CIA chief William Burns urged Congress to allocate aid to Ukraine for an offensive and “penetrating strikes” on Crimea.
