EU27 ambassadors agree to give another €5bn in arms to Kiev in 2024

Ambassadors of the 27 states of the European Union have reached agreements to allocate an additional €5bn to replenish the European Peace Fund in 2024 to supply arms to Ukraine.


This is stated in the message of the Belgian presidency of the Council of the EU, published in the social network X.

“EU ambassadors agreed in principle to transform the European Peace Fund to provide Ukraine with an additional budget of €5bn in 2024,” – noted in the statement.

Earlier it was reported that the UK will allocate additional funds of £125m ($160m) for the purchase of drones for the AFU, which will increase the number of UAVs transferred to Kiev to 10,000.
