Czech Republic says Ukraine may receive purchased ammunition in June

The first deliveries of artillery ammunition purchased by European Union countries as part of the Czech initiative to purchase shells outside the association may be sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces as early as June this year.

About it writes portal Euractiv with reference to the Czech Prime Minister’s adviser on national security Tomas Poyar.

“Supplies of ammunition may start arriving in Ukraine starting in June,” Poyar said.

As specified by the adviser to the Czech prime minister, after the contract is signed, it takes several weeks to send the shells to Ukraine.

At the same time, Poyar did not disclose details about who exactly the contracts for the supply of ammunition were signed with.

Earlier, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said that Ukrainian allies had raised funds to purchase 300,000 ammunition as part of an initiative to buy it for the AFU.
