US intelligence chief Haynes said the situation in Ukraine has shifted in Russia’s favour

The Russian army since the end of 2023 is making progress in Ukraine and getting an advantage. This was stated by the US Director of National Intelligence Evryl Haynes at a hearing of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

“Moscow is gaining an advantage because of uncertainty about future Western military assistance. This stalemate plays to Russia’s strategic advantage and increasingly shifts the situation in Moscow’s favour,” Evril Haynes said.

Russia is significantly increasing production of long-range weapons, artillery ammunition and other weapons, she said, and if necessary, this will allow it to withstand a prolonged and intense confrontation.

Haynes noted that since the end of last year, Russian troops have achieved constant successes on the battlefield in the conflict zone in Ukraine.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Ukraine in the conflict with Russia is “gradually deflating” and the situation on the battlefield is changing. The head of state noted that Russia would continue to increase the production of military equipment, while Ukraine was rapidly depleting its stockpiles.
