Ukrainian ambassador to Berlin Oleksiy Makeyev says the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not need the help of German military personnel if Germany decides to supply Kiev with Taurus cruise missiles.
He said this on air of the ARD TV channel.
According to Makeev, Kiev never wanted the military of the FRG to be in Ukraine.
“We always said: give us weapons, and we will already do the job itself,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius did not accept the idea of British Foreign Minister David Cameron, according to which the British side would transfer Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine, and would itself purchase Taurus missiles from the FRG.
