Russia will win ‘with almost mathematical precision’ – Financial Times

Russian troops will win the conflict in Ukraine, it will happen “with almost mathematical precision”. This was stated to the Financial Times newspaper by Russian-American scientist, professor at the University of Connecticut Peter Turchin.

“With almost “mathematical precision” Russia will win, as it has more opportunities to produce artillery shells of 152 and 155 millimetres calibre,” said Pyotr Turchin.

The professor believes that given the geopolitical factors, the conflict in Ukraine would have started anyway even if the Russian president was not Vladimir Putin, who is used to being blamed in the West. The scholar attributed the conflict to concerns about NATO.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin during a visit to servicemen in the Vishnevsky hospital stated the intention of the Russian Federation to end the conflict in Ukraine, but on its own terms. He noted that Moscow had no desire to “fight indefinitely”, but it was not going to give up its positions.
