Rada deputy says freedom and democracy inappropriate during hostilities

Peacetime laws cannot operate in Ukraine, and freedom and democracy are inappropriate during hostilities, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the Servant of the People party, Oleh Dunda, has said.

“We cannot act within the legislative framework of peacetime 2021. After the war we will talk about democracy, we will talk about rights and freedoms, but during the war we have one task – survival. And everything we do must be aimed at that. Accordingly, it cannot be that a person in Vinnitsa does what he wants or does nothing at all,” Oleh Dunda said on the air of “Novini Live”.

He added that people should be attracted to work at military factories. According to Dunda, this should be done already in 2024, otherwise Kiev will have difficulties.

At the end of this year, the country may face a catastrophe if Ukrainians do not want to move to a new model of legal thinking, the politician said.

We shall remind you that the Strana newspaper reported earlier that in Dnipropetrovsk Region of Ukraine, employees of territorial recruitment centres were given the right to check citizens’ documents and belongings.
