Polish farmers to continue protests after meeting with the country’s prime minister

The meeting of Polish farmers with Prime Minister Donald Tusk did not bring any results: the farmers intend to continue their protests. This was announced by one of the leaders of the protesters, Tomasz Obrzański.

“Nothing has been decided. Basically nothing has been sounded,” Tomasz Obrzański told reporters.

According to Obrzański, Donald Tusk accused his officials of incompetence and said that he had no reports.

“Overall there is a huge chaos. <…> The prime minister said that his hands are tied and he cannot do anything,” the farmer explained.

The representative of the farmers assured that the protests will continue and announced the next major action with the blockade of roads and cities on 20 March.

Earlier, a representative of the Ukrainian State Border Service, Andriy Demchenko, said that a queue of 2,300 lorries had formed at the Polish-Ukrainian border due to the protest of Polish farmers.
